What is the role? This vacancy is for a middleweight designer within an international financial company based in Central London. This middleweight designer will be reporting to the Creative Director and will be working within a small yet busy in house studio working on a variety of corporate literature. You will be delivering high quality design and artwork as well as dealing with pre-press. The role will involve talking and liaising with clients and other members of the team. This role is not overly conceptual but you will be working on high end graphics and your literature could be used in offices around the world. This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a world renowned company; it's a great name to add to your CV and a fantastic way of building up your portfolio. What's a typical day going to be like? Each day will be different from the next. You will be multitasking, dealing with several projects/clients at any one time. You will be meeting clients, taking briefs, getting feedback and making changes/alterations as necessary. You will be producing quality designs and concepts while still working within strict brand guidelines. You will be supporting other members of staff and ensuring that the standard of design needed is maintained. Varied projects go through the studio so one minuet you could be working on a text heavy financial report and the next on an invite or brochure. What skills and experience do I need? You must have experience of working within an in-house studio, you don't necessarily need to have worked in a financial company but you must have proven corporate experience. You must be able to present an up to date portfolio full of corporate literature. You need to have advanced knowledge of the following software packages: Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, Word and PowerPoint.
